today I stumbled on a YouTuber couple’s six-year-old blog archive and it gave me a warm, familiar reminder that you can find fun, enchanting, and adventurous moments every day. it was inspiring to see how in love they were.

sleep is so good that I still can not believe it’s free.
sleep is actually highly commodified between sleeping pills, mattresses and pillows (both of which are cultural and not natural forms of bedding), the plethora of ways we manufacture disordered sleep in capitalism and then sell people remedies for them, the fact that good sleep requires shelter and safety, which can be bought at a price…like you only need to be homeless and see the plethora of defensive architecture (spikes, benches that are impossible to lie on, etc.) and the constant harassment by cops telling you to “move on” to know that you need to own things, and purchase things, in order to be allowed to sleep.
damn.
